WELCOME TO THE KODIAK PATROL'S BLOG!!
I hope we can utilize this website to help communicate with all our scouts and their parents all the 'going-ons' with the KODIAK PATROL. There is a lot happening and we desire everyone to know how much fun we are having, how much we are learning, and how we are contributing back to our community. This will also serve as a good opportunity to allow our scouts to show off their skills. As one of the Communication Merit Badge requirements, they are to help create a web-site and to publish an article with photos; we will utilize this site as the vehicle to help them accomplish this. We try to encourage each scout to be resposible for the success of our patrol - we, as scout leaders, will provide the guidance they need to be more: Self-reliant, Self-governing, and Self-learning. This is also known as the 'Patrol Method' of scouting: "The Patrol Method is not ONE method in which Scouting can be carried on. It is the ONLY method!" --Roland Phillips Please feel free to browse through our pictures, read our articles, keep updated with our calendar, and check out the other scouting links. We hope you will leave your comments; it will just add to the usefulness of the site and will help us know what's working and what's not. We look forward from hearing from you!
Best regards, Erik Assistant Scoutmaster; Kodiak Patrol
